A bit different from the usual rock star memoir, this one. Rather than trashing hotel rooms, Jarvis Cocker has been clearing out his loft (as men of his age so often need to do).
He’s kept just about everything – from tickets, mix tapes and scribbled notes, to chewing gum wrappers and the exercise book in which he wrote his teenage Pulp Masterplan (Fashion: “Drainpipe or tapered trousers, preferably of a colourful disposition.”)
Each apparently trivial object in this richly illustrated hardback has a story attached, which Jarvis shares in his warm, but deadpan style.
We LOVE this book! But don’t just take our word for it. Read the review in The Guardian.
