We’ve a year-round rolling sale with a wide range of titles at less than half-price. We choose our sale stock carefully, adding new titles all the time.
We offer amazing value and something for everyone – classics, non-fiction contemporary novels, children’s picture books and storybooks.
School Supply
We offer generous discounts and free delivery on school orders.
Contact us with a list of titles and the quantities you need and we will get back to you with an estimate of cost and delivery time.
Reading group
& NHS discount
We offer 20% discount on orders for reading groups. Once you’ve decided what your group will be reading next, let us know how many copies you need and we will do the rest.
We offer 10% discount to N.H.S. employees. Just show us your i.d. at the till.
Sustainability
We recycle all our cardboard and paper, use as little plastic as we can and have our own unbleached, cotton shopping bags.
Wherever it’s an option, we buy ‘naked’ greetings cards or ranges wrapped in biodegradable cello.
Local bike deliveries
We’ve teamed up with Chorlton Bike Deliveries, a new co-op that’s helping people buy what they need if they’re not able to get out and about.
Place an order and, if you’re in the Chorlton area, local volunteers will deliver your purchase by cargo bike.
Book Tokens
Give someone the joy of choosing their own books, either in our shop or elsewhere. We sell and exchange National Book Tokens.
