Adventures for young readers
Our children’s section is a treasure trove.
We have board books for babies, picture books, classics, poetry and non-fiction. We have stories to inspire, to captivate and transport you to other worlds, to hook the most reluctant readers and satisfy the most voracious. With three former teachers working here, we are always happy to advise.
We can’t promise to help with homework though.
Tempting treats for busy bees
We have books and more to keep active kids entertained – Eye Spy for young explorers, plus books for stickering, colouring in and puzzling. We have kids’ non-fiction for fact-finders and gorgeous gift books for special keepsakes.
There’s also a selection of Jellycat toys – from baby soothers and comforters to cloth books with textures for tiny fingers. All are suitable from birth. We’ve an ever-growing supporting cast of bunnies, bears, birdlings, octopuses and even a capybara called Clyde.
